Principal's Message

It’s that time of year again — the Parent Opinion Survey is now open, and we’d love for you to take a few minutes to share your thoughts!

The link was sent out earlier last week on Compass (no treasure map required ?). The survey only takes about 15 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous.

Why is it important? Because your voice helps shape our school! Whether it’s about communication, teaching and learning, student wellbeing, or just how the school feels day to day — your feedback gives us valuable insight into what’s working well and where we can do better.

Think of it as your chance to give us a friendly high-five... or a helpful nudge in the right direction.

We use the results to guide our planning, celebrate our strengths, and improve areas that need a bit more love and attention. So please jump onto Compass, click the link, and let us know what you think.

Thanks so much for being part of our school community — your opinion truly matters!

Calling All Experts - Year 6 Exhibition Community Connections

At the start of Term 4, our Year 6 students will begin their Exhibition journeys, the culminating project of the Primary Years Programme (PYP). This year’s Transdisciplinary Theme is: How We Express Ourselves.

An inquiry into the diversity of voice, perspectives and expression through:

  • inspiration, imagination, creativity
  • personal, social and cultural modes and practices of communication
  • intentions, perceptions, interpretations, and responses.

We are seeking experts from our school community who can share real world knowledge and experiences connected to our theme. If you, or someone you know, works in an industry related to communication, creativity, or expression, we’d love to hear from you!

This could include (but is not limited to):

  • Film, television, or game design
  • Journalism, media, or publishing
  • Advertising, marketing, or public relations
  • Performing arts, visual arts, or music
  • Graphic design, animation, or photography
  • Cultural heritage, museums, or language preservation
  • Social media strategy, podcasting, or content creation

If you can provide insight, inspiration and authentic stories for our students, please contact Rosemary - rosemary.talbot@education.vic.gov.au to arrange a time to speak with our Year 6 cohort. We are looking for guest speakers for (roughly) between 6th-28th October.

Let’s give our students the opportunity to connect with diverse voices and perspectives as they prepare for their most exciting PYP challenge yet!

Thank you,

Year 6 teachers and students
