Principal's Message

A Huge Thank You to FOKPS for a Fantastic Trivia Night!
What a night! We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Friends of KPS (FOKPS) for organising such a fantastic Trivia Night last weekend. The hall was buzzing with energy, laughter, and just the right amount of friendly competition!

It was wonderful to see such a big turnout from our school community – parents, carers, staff, and friends all coming together for an evening of fun and fundraising. The creativity on display (especially in some of the team names and costumes!) made the night even more memorable.

Events like these are a great reminder of the strong and supportive community we have here at KPS. Thank you again to FOKPS for all the hard work that went into making the night such a success – from the planning and setting up, to the hosting and clean-up.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!

2026 Forward Planning
The school council met last Monday night and agreed on the school start dates for 2026. Kingsville Primary School will have the first 2 days of the school year as curriculum days – January 27th and 28th. Our years 1 – 6 students will begin the school year on Thursday January 29th, and we will officially welcome our Foundation students on Monday February 2nd for their very first day of big school.

Our foundation teachers will get a head start on Foundation assessment on January 29th and 30th meaning we will then only need Wednesday 4th and 11th to finalise this assessment. The foundation classes will then begin full time school from Monday February 16th.

I also understand that circumstances change for families and there may be some student movement coming into 2026. If you know that your child will no longer be attending KPS next year, can you please let the office know asap. We will begin the class jigsaw game early on in Term 4 and will reach out for more family feedback then.

Parent opinion survey…..
….Is still open! Please take a minute to provide valuable feedback. You can find the log in details on Compass.

More baby news
Last week we said ‘see you later’ to Monica who has now begun the wait for baby. We wish her much rest as she begins her maternity leave and eagerly await the good news!

We now welcome Lauren Hogg into the art room as Monica’s replacement. She is one week down and doing an amazing job already!
