Principal's Message

As we move into the back half of the school year, there’s a wonderful sense of momentum across the school. Classrooms are full of energy — students are deep in their learning; teachers are helping them consolidate skills and everyone is beginning to think about what comes next. It’s an exciting time of growth, reflection, and planning.

Behind the scenes, our teachers are working incredibly hard to ensure every student is supported to finish the year strongly and transition smoothly into the next. This is a complex process that involves looking carefully at the academic, social and emotional needs of every child so that we can create the best possible class groupings, supports and opportunities for 2026. Our goal is always to set each child up for success — both now and in the year ahead.

The end of a school year can bring a mix of excitement and uncertainty for children. They may start wondering who their next teacher will be, what their new classroom will look like, or who they’ll sit with next year. As parents and carers, there are some simple ways you can help make this time fun, positive and stress-free:

Celebrate progress – Take time to look back on how far your child has come. Celebrate the learning, the friendships and the small wins. This builds pride and confidence as they prepare for their next step.

Maintain routines – As the term gets busier with events and activities, try to keep home routines as steady as possible. Consistent sleep and downtime make a big difference to children’s sense of calm.

Talk about change positively – Encourage open conversations about next year. Let children share their feelings and reassure them that feeling a little unsure is normal — but remind them that change brings new opportunities and adventures too.

Enjoy the moments – Amid the busyness, make time to enjoy the end-of-year celebrations. Whether it’s attending school events, sharing a special family dinner or simply acknowledging the growth of another year, these rituals help children feel supported and excited about what’s ahead.

As we head toward the final stretch of the year, I want to thank our staff for their professionalism, care, and commitment — and our families for their partnership and trust. Together, we’ll ensure that every student finishes the year feeling proud, confident and ready for the next chapter in their learning journey.

Have a great week

Emma

Exciting News: New OSHC Provider for 2026

We are pleased to share that from the beginning of the 2026 school year, Kingsville Primary School will transition our Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service from Camp Australia to Kelly Club.

This decision comes after a comprehensive review process, led by our School Council, to ensure we continue to provide a high-quality, engaging and family-focused service for our community. We would like to sincerely thank our families for the thoughtful feedback and insights you shared during the consultation period — your input played a valuable role in shaping this decision.

We also extend our gratitude to the School Council members who dedicated significant time to the selection process, carefully considering all aspects of the program, including quality of care, educational alignment, staffing and the overall experience for students and families.

Kelly Club is well known for providing warm, inclusive and activity-rich programs that align closely with our school’s values. Their focus on fun, safety, and wellbeing — while promoting creativity, teamwork, and confidence — makes them a great fit for our school community.

As we move through the transition process, further information will be shared with families, including details on registration, staffing, program offerings and key dates. We’ll ensure that families have plenty of time to prepare and that the handover between providers is smooth and well-supported.

Thank you once again for your partnership and engagement. We’re confident that this new chapter for our OSHC program will bring exciting opportunities for our students and families in 2026 and beyond.
