Principal's Message

What an incredible week we shared together as a school community last week. From the excitement and energy of our House Athletics Carnival, to the learning and connection experienced during Indigenous Games Day, and the teamwork and determination displayed by our 5 /6's at Gala Day, it was a week full of pride, participation and community spirit.

Across every event, what stood out most was not simply the competition or achievements, but the way our students supported one another, encouraged their peers and represented our school with such positivity and respect. Whether on the track, in the field, learning new games and traditions, or competing as part of a team, our students demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and enthusiasm.

I would like to sincerely thank our staff, students, families and volunteers who contributed to the success of these events, in particular the students from Footscray High School who were phenomenal helpers at each of our events.  Opportunities like these require enormous organisation and commitment, and we are fortunate to have such dedicated people within our community.

Most importantly, last week reminded us why our school is such a special place. The teamwork, encouragement, resilience and sense of belonging on display reflected the very best of who we are. Seeing students cheer each other on, celebrate successes together and embrace every opportunity with confidence and joy was truly wonderful.

Thank you to everyone for making last week such a memorable one. I am incredibly proud of our students and grateful to be part of such a supportive and connected school community.

Farewell

We would like to say goodbye to Carla Rosi and wish her all the best as she moves to her new role at Toorak Primary School.  We thank her for her contribution to our school community.

Leila Sheehan will be taking on the Mental Health and Wellbeing Leader position and look forward to her continuing to support the well-being of our students.
