As we launch into an exciting month of events, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible strength of our school community. March brings us not only our highly anticipated Hot March Night but also our vibrant Harmony Day Colour Run—two celebrations that perfectly capture the spirit of togetherness and inclusion that make our school such a special place to learn and grow.
Our school is a beautiful mosaic of cultures, backgrounds, and experiences, and it is this diversity that enriches our daily lives. From the classroom to the playground, we learn so much from one another, fostering an environment where every individual feels valued and celebrated. Both events are a wonderful opportunity to come together, celebrate our differences, and show the world how strong we are when we embrace unity.
The Hot March Night promises to be a night of fun and excitement for all, as we gather with friends and family for a spectacular evening of activities, food, and entertainment. It is a chance to celebrate our vibrant school spirit, and the support of our diverse community makes it more special.
Additionally, our Harmony Day Colour Run is an opportunity to celebrate the importance of inclusivity and respect for all cultures. As students, staff, and families participate, we will run, walk, and splash in colour together—reminding ourselves that our diversity is not just something to appreciate, but something to be proud of. It's a day to honour the beauty of our unique backgrounds, and to promote peace, understanding, and kindness.
As we embark on these events, we also want to extend our warmest wishes to all our families celebrating Ramadan Mubarak. This sacred time of fasting, reflection, and prayer is a time for deep personal growth and connection. We honour the dedication and strength of our Muslim community members, and we stand together in support and celebration of their faith and traditions.
Currently, more than ever, we are reminded of the importance of community—of being there for each other, supporting one another, and embracing the richness that diversity brings to our lives. These upcoming events will be a beautiful expression of that spirit, and we look forward to celebrating together as one united school family.
Let’s make March a month to remember, filled with joy, colour, and connection. Thank you for being such a vital part of our school community!

Kingsville Primary school is now in its second year of partnership with Real Schools, an organisation dedicated to fostering meaningful partnerships that help schools achieve their full potential in three key areas: committed teachers, caring students, and connected communities. Through this collaboration, we are working to enhance our school culture by embedding Restorative Practices into our approach. This focus allows us to build stronger relationships, resolve conflicts, deepen empathy, and improve student behaviour.
Restorative Practices involve asking students the right questions when things go wrong, helping them take responsibility for their actions, and guiding them to make amends. Ultimately, this approach empowers students to learn accountability and responsibility for their actions, contributing to a positive and supportive school environment.
In connecting with the community please see a short video explaining the practice and strategy of PRIMING
Priming is an important part of the work we do planting the seed for the behaviour we want to see giving our young people a clear idea of the types of behaviours that support them and the people around them to experience a positive effect on their emotions.
Priming Language is powerful. Tell your child what you want to see, and they will rise to that level of behaviour.
