Enrolment Information - Outside Zone

Enrolment process for parents/carers seeking an enrolment– but KPS is not their closest neighbourhood school.


Step 1:  Application form -If you live beyond our school zone and you would like to apply to attend Kingsville Primary School

  • Submit an application and expression of interest for Foundation (Prep) at Kingsville Primary School by Friday 26 July 2024.
  • Between Monday 29 July and Friday 9 August 2024, Kingsville Primary school will notify parents and carers in writing of Foundation (Prep) enrolment outcomes, as per the department’s Placement Policy. This may include a letter of offer, or an unsuccessful application letter.


Step 2:  If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 23 August 2024 and an enrolment form link will be sent to you on confirmation or you can collect from the office and enrolment form, please bring your letter of offer.


Step 3:  Once your enrolment form is complete return it to the school office with the following documentation

  • Proof of your residential address - provide photo identification (e.g. drivers licence) and a utilities statement that shows primary residence location
  • Australian Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Record of immunisation issued by Medicare

Other relevant documentation

  • details of medical or other conditions which may require the child to have special consideration
  • proof of Australian residency or appropriate visa that would allow for enrolment (non-fee paying) in an Australian government school
  • copies of any legal documents relating to custody, parenting arrangements or access regarding child/children


Your enrolment form and additional documents should be provided to the school by Friday 30th August 2024


Step 4: Making an enrolment appointment


On confirmation of your child attending Kingsville Primary School an enrolment meeting appointment will be booked.


The first set of enrolment meetings are scheduled for the end of term 2 and beginning of term 3. Additional enrolment meetings will be added later in term 3 and term 4 as required.


Please note: all new families enrolling at Kingsville are expected to make an appointment.


The child who is being enrolled is required to attend the enrolment meeting. This is seen as an important rite of passage and the preschool student is expected to participate in the process.
